Flat surfaces are required on many types of components from mirrors and windows to prisms. We can make such items, up to 300mm diameter in some cases, with very high accuracy.
Our expertise in polishing Fabry-Perot etalon substrates and optical contacting furnishes us with the techniques to make these components with very flat surfaces. These techniques further give us scope to make substrates parallel much less than 1 fringe or to make prisms with interferometrically accurate angles, for example on prisms.
